Breakfast doesn’t get easier or more delicious than with this Bacon and Scallion Air Fryer Omelet recipe! 🤯 Fry it to believe it!
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes
Makes 2 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 bacon strips
  • 1 stalk green onion/scallion
  • Salt a pinch

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F or 204°C for 5 minutes.
Preheating air fryer to 400°F (204°C)
  • Prepare the ingredients. Chop the scallion and slice the bacon into smaller chunks.
Step 2: Slicing spring onions on a chopping board.
  • Air fry bacon at 400°F (204°C) for 5 minutes. Add parchment paper first, but you have to be careful as the air fryer basket will be hot at this point. Then, add the bacon slices and cook it until the sides become crispy. The fat released by the bacon is good enough to grease the parchment paper.
Step 4: Flipping bacon slices in air fryer with a pair of tongs.
  • While the bacon is cooking, beat the eggs lightly. Add salt, season to taste.
Step 3: Beating eggs in a large bowl.
  • Add the beaten eggs to the air fried bacon bits, and top it off with the chopped green onion. Gently stir with a spatula, then air fry at 350°F or 177°C for 10-12 minutes. No flipping required.
Step 5: Cooking omelette in air fryer.
  • Serve and enjoy!
Step 6: Air fried omelet sliced into 4 pieces.

Notes

  • If your air fryer doesn't have a preheating option, you can set the temperature to 400ºF (204ºC) and then let it cook for 5 minutes.
  • You can also skip preheating by adding 2-4 minutes to your cooking time. Increment gradually, until your omelet becomes tender and slightly golden brown.
  • Don’t add the parchment paper or air fryer liner when preheating your air fryer. The strong air flow might displace the paper and touch the heating element inside your air fryer.
  • You can use an omelet pan if you have one, or just use a parchment paper or an airfryer liner without holes.
  • If you prefer not to use bacon, you can grease the air fryer liner with melted butter or cooking oil.
  • Stir the omelet every now and then to distribute the ingredients evenly. I know, mixing is a big no-no when making an omelet. However, the spring onions collected in one place because of the air flow.
  • I used a 6-quart model to test this air fryer omelet recipe. Cooking time and temperature may vary depending on your air fryer. For optimal results, begin with the lower end of the suggested cooking time. Continue air frying until you achieve your desired finish.
