5bacon strips
2tbspbrown sugar
2tbspmaple syrup
Optional
1tspchili lime seasoning (tajin)
1tspcayenne pepper/cajun seasoning
Instructions
Preheat air fryer to 380°F or 193°C.
Prepare the candied bacon mixture by combining the brown sugar and maple syrup.
Air fry the candy bacon at 380°F or 193°C for 8-10 minutes. Lay the bacon strips flat in the air fryer basket then brush it with the candy bacon flavoring. Flip halfway, then brush the other side with the remaining mixture.
Allow it to cool down for 5 minutes allowing it to solidify or acquire a texture more similar to candy.
Serve your air fryer maple candied bacon and enjoy!

If your air fryer doesn't have a preheat mode, you can set the temperature to 380°F (193°C) and then let it cook for 5 minutes.
You can also skip preheating by adding 2-4 minutes to your cooking time. Increment gradually, to prevent burning the candied bacon.
It's essential to allow the candy bacon to cool down. It will take a few minutes to solidify.
I used a 6-quart (air fryer) to test the Air Fryer Candied Bacon recipe. Cooking time and temperature may vary depending on your air fryer and the number of servings you are making. For optimal results, begin with the lower end of the suggested cooking time.
