Ingredients
6 eggs
2tablespoonsmozzarella cheeseshredded
2tablespoonscheddar cheeseshredded
½tomatoroughly chopped
¼cupspinach
⅛teaspoonsaltor to taste
½teaspoongarlic powder
1/16teaspoonground pepperor to taste
½tablespoonCooking oil sprayor melted butter
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (177°C). Please see note if your air fryer is 4 quarts or smaller.
Prepare the toppings: Roughly chop the tomatoes and get all the other ingredients ready.
In a medium bowl, beat the eggs, and then add the garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Once the air fryer is preheated, place a fitted air fryer liner into the air fryer basket and lightly coat it with cooking oil spray or melted butter.
Next, add the beaten eggs into the greased air fryer liner, and air fry for 8 minutes. Once the eggs have formed along the edges, around 4-5 minutes into the cooking process, move them to the center of the air fryer basket using a rubber spatula. Continue cooking until the eggs are almost done.
After 7-8 minutes, when there's a little bit of raw egg left, add the toppings: tomatoes and spinach, followed by a layer of mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top.
Turn the heat up to 400°F or 204°C (380°F or 193°C for 4-quart air fryers and below) and air fry frittata for another 4-5 minutes or until the cheese has bubbled up and turned slightly golden.
Serve and enjoy your cheesy air fryer egg frittata!

Notes
For smaller air fryers that have a 4-quart capacity and below, reduce the cooking temperature by 20°F or 10°C. Compact air fryers generate more heat because of the heating element's proximity to the food. (e.g. reduce 350°F to 330°F, or 400°F to 380°F)
If your air fryer doesn't have a preheating option, you can set the temperature to 350°F (177°C) and then let it cook for 4-5 minutes without food.
It would be ideal to fill the air fryer liner with eggs. Say if you’re cooking in a 4-quart air fryer, add a minimum of 4 eggs. If there’s less eggs, the air fryer liner will fold into the eggs and the end result will not be as appetizing.
I highly recommend beating the eggs. We tested this recipe with the egg yolks still intact, and it took longer to cook.
Add the air fryer liner after the air fryer finishes preheating. If you add it too early, it may touch the heating element and create smoke.
Using parchment paper is generally unsafe because there's a high chance of it touching the heating element and creating smoke. If you don't have a fitted air fryer liner at home, keep the parchment paper low and fill it with eggs to prevent it from flying inside the air fryer basket while cooking.
I used a 6-quart Instant Vortex Plus to test the air fryer egg frittata recipe. Cooking time and temperature may vary depending on your air fryer and the number of servings you are making. For optimal results, begin with the lower end of the suggested cooking time.
