Ingredients
1poundfrozen chicken tenders
Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce
2tablespoonsmayonnaise
1tablespoonDijon mustard
1tablespoonhoney
½tablespoonlemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (204°C). Please see note if your air fryer is 4 quarts or smaller.
Get your frozen breaded chicken fingers ready.
Air fry breaded frozen chicken fingers for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the crust becomes golden and crispy. Remember to arrange the frozen chicken strips in a single layer with even spacing to ensure even cooking.
Meanwhile, prepare your favorite dipping sauce. By any chance, feel free to use a ready-made sauce. To make honey mustard dipping sauce from scratch, simply combine 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon of honey, ½ tablespoon of lemon juice, and a dash of salt and pepper to taste. You can also use your favorite dipping sauce.
Allow the air fryer frozen chicken tenders to cool for 2-3 minutes before serving with your choice of dipping sauce. Enjoy!
Notes
For 4-quart air fryers and smaller, reduce the cooking temperature to 380°F (193°C). They generate more heat because of the heating element's proximity to the food.
If your air fryer doesn't have a preheating option, set your desired temperature and then let it cook for 4-5 minutes without food.
I used a 6-quart Instant Pot Vortex Plus and 4-quart Ninja Foodi to test frozen chicken tenders. Cooking time and temperature may vary depending on your air fryer and the number of servings you are making. For optimal results, begin with the lower end of the suggested cooking time.
