To assemble the ube cream cheese wontons, lay the wonton wrapper flat and add the ube cream cheese filling in the middle. Apply water to the sides of the wonton wrapper using your finger, then seal the sides of the cream cheese wonton by folding the corners together and pinching them.
Carefully place the ube-filled wontons onto the preheated air fryer, spacing them out evenly, and brush or spray them with high-heat cooking oil.
Air fry the cream cheese wonton for 6-8 minutes. Cook until golden brown and crispy.
Transfer your air fryer ube wontons onto a serving plate and dust them with powdered sugar. Enjoy!

Notes
If your air fryer doesn't have a preheating option, you can set the temperature to 370°F (190°C) and then let it cook for 3-4 minutes without food.
To soften cream cheese, you can take it out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the temperature of your kitchen. Alternatively, you can remove the cream cheese from its packaging, place it in a microwave-safe bowl, and microwave it on a low power setting for 15-20 seconds at a time, stirring in between, until it reaches the desired softness. Another method is to submerge the sealed cream cheese block in warm water and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes, flipping it every 5 minutes or so.
While adding oil is optional, it can help you achieve a crispy golden-brown finish.
Use a cooking spray that only contains oil to avoid damaging the air fryer basket. Check the ingredient list to ensure there are no propellants included.
The cream cheese filling might ooze out on some of the wontons while in the air fryer. Don’t worry, that’s completely normal.
I used a 6-quart Instant Pot Vortex Plus to test the air fryer cream cheese ube wonton recipe. Cooking time and temperature may vary depending on your air fryer and the number of servings you are making. For optimal results, begin with the lower end of the suggested cooking time.
