1tablespoonavocado oil
1/2teaspoongarlic powder
1/2teaspoononion powder
1/2teaspoonsmoked paprika
1/2teaspoondried thyme
1/4teaspoonsalt
1/8teaspoonpepper
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 380ºF (193ºC) for 5 minutes.
Create the dry rub seasoning. Mix garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried thyme, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
Season the frozen pork. Rub both sides of the frozen pork chops with avocado oil, ensuring they're well-coated. Sprinkle the seasoning mix evenly on both sides of the pork chops, pressing it gently to adhere.
Air fry frozen pork chops. Transfer the pork chops to the air fryer and arrange in a single layer. Cook the pork chops at 380ºF (193ºC) for 8 - 10 minutes per side, for a total of 16 - 20 minutes. Flip halfway through to ensure even browning.
Check the pork's internal temperature using a meat thermometer. They're ready when they reach 145ºF (63ºC). Otherwise, continue air frying for another 2 - 3 minutes.
Once cooked, remove the pork chops from the air fryer and let them rest for 3 - 5 minutes. This'll help them retain their juices.
Serve and enjoy your air-fried pork chops with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
Notes
Considering that cooking time varies depending on the meat's thickness (and your air fryer's specs), always check with a meat thermometer if your pork is cooked thoroughly. The pork's safe internal temperature is a minimum of 145ºF (63ºC).
If your air fryer doesn't have a preheating option, you can set the temperature to 380°F (193°C) and then let it cook for 4-5 minutes without food.
You can skip preheating by adding 2-4 minutes to your cooking time. Increment gradually to prevent burning the frozen pork chops.
I used a 6-quart (air fryer) to test the frozen pork chops. Cooking time and temperature may vary depending on your air fryer and the number of servings you are making. For optimal results, begin with the lower end of the suggested cooking time.
