150gmushroomssliced
½cupheavy cream
¼cupparmesan cheesegrated
Salt and pepperto taste
1teaspoon fresh thymefinely chopped
Instructions
Whisk the dry rub ingredients in a small bowl to create your aromatic dry rub seasoning.
Preheat your air fryer to 400ºF (204ºC) for about 5 minutes. This high heat will help achieve a deliciously seared exterior.
Season the pork chops. Rub each bone-in pork chop with olive oil, then coat both sides with the prepared dry rub. Gently press the seasoning onto the chops for even coverage.
Air fry the keto pork chops. Place the seasoned bone-in pork chops in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook them for 12 - 16 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145ºF (63ºC). Flip the chops halfway through.
Remove the pork from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Serve your air-fried keto pork chops! Once cooked, plate the bone-in pork chops. Spoon the creamy mushroom sauce generously over them, then sprinkle finely chopped fresh thyme for added freshness and flavor. Enjoy!
Prepare the creamy mushroom sauce:
Place a skillet over medium heat. Then, melt the butter in the skillet and sauté the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms until tender, around 5 minutes.
Pour in the heavy cream and add the grated parmesan cheese. Stir well to combine, and let the sauce simmer for 2 - 3 minutes until it thickens.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Notes
Considering that cooking time varies depending on the meat's thickness (and your air fryer's specs), always check with a meat thermometer if your pork is cooked thoroughly. The pork's safe internal temperature is a minimum of 145ºF (63ºC).
If your air fryer doesn't have a preheating option, you can set the temperature to 380°F (193°C) and then let it cook for 4-5 minutes without food.
You can skip preheating by adding 2-4 minutes to your cooking time. Increment gradually to prevent burning the keto pork chops.
I used a 6-quart (air fryer) to test the keto pork chops. Cooking time and temperature may vary depending on your air fryer and the number of servings you are making. For optimal results, begin with the lower end of the suggested cooking time.
