Brunchit.com has found a new home!
Brunch Chicago was part of the Big Onion Hospitality family. It’s been a beloved brunch destination among local patrons and tourists alike.
They specialize in all things brunch—from DIY omelets, pancakes, french toast, a variety of egg benedicts, skillet meals, and hearty breakfast entrees. If you want to skip your morning coffee, the restaurant also offers a wide selection of spirits.
Sadly, after 10 years of operation, BRUNCH was forced to close due to the business impact of the pandemic.
In their own words:
After an amazing and inspiring 10-year run at BRUNCH (644 N. Orleans), we are heartbroken to announce that we will not be able to reopen our doors.
This is NOT the storybook ending we had in mind – and a decision made only after the elimination of all other possibilities. Unfortunately, however, the 3-month State-mandated closure and ensuing uncertainty that now clouds the changing landscape of our industry left us no path to survival.
We would like to thank each and every one of our loyal customers and neighbors for all their support over the years. And most of all, we want to express our gratitude and love to all our staff that made BRUNCH such a special place.
So many memories were created here that we will cherish forever. And if you felt the living embodiment of our mission statement, ‘to treat each and every guest as though they were walking into our own personal homes,’ then our goal was accomplished!
This is one of the toughest decisions we’ve ever had to make. But it has convinced us even more strongly that ‘the show must go on!’
So, even though you won’t be able to enjoy another amazing experience at BRUNCH, we hope you’ll continue to enjoy the memories and recipes of the past 10 years at any of our other locations offering to continue BRUNCH’s legacy in the years to come.

These are the menu items that Brunch Chicago used to offer and some of the recipes we’ve recreated.
Fresh Baked Cinnamon Roll
Homemade daily and baked in a cast iron skillet, topped with bourbon maple butter & sweet cream cheese icing.
Chicken And Waffle Bites
Tender chunks of waffle battered, all natural chicken breast served with maple syrup and powdered sugar.
Two scrambled eggs on top of crispy tortillas with fresh pico de gallo, black beans, monterey jack & cheddar cheese, avocado and a drizzle of sour cream (You can add chorizo or carnitas.)
Tartare Style Bagel & Lox
Tartare style smoked salmon with fresh dill, capers, red onion and lemon served on a bed of mixed greens with sliced cucumber, toasted mini bagels and whipped cream cheese.
Banana Bread French Toast Bites
Fresh baked banana bread squares lightly battered and fried, served with whipped cream and Rumchata banana fosters sauce for dipping.
Avocado Toast Trio
Three slices of thick cut bread, spread with fresh avocado and topped three different ways-bruschetta style, sunnyside egg and of course, bacon.
Fresh Baked Donuts
Five homemade donuts made to order with a caramel glaze, drizzled with chocolate sauce and dusted with powdered sugar
Waffle fries, fresh scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, cheddar, jalapeño crema, salsa and chives. You can add chorizo.
We proudly serve local, cage-free eggs. Tofu is available as a substitute for eggs on any entree. You can sub fruit for potatoes on any dish.
Two eggs any style, golden Brunch potatoes, and choice of toast, English muffin or mini pancakes. With thick cut bacon, house-made chicken or pork sausage, ham, Canadian bacon, or corned beef hash. You can substitute smoked salmon, buffalo-pork sausage, or steak.
Egg whites or marinated tofu scrambled with oven roasted tomatoes and sautéed baby kale, served with house made chicken sausage or buffalo pork links and fresh fruit.
Spinach tortilla stuffed with savory house made sausage, carnitas style pork or house chorizo, cage-free scrambled eggs, and queso fresco. Topped with melted cheddar and served with sides of charred tomato salsa and jalapeno crema. Served with golden Brunch potatoes. You can substitute hanger steak.
Maple bacon, scrambled eggs, cheddar, avocado and a maple mayo on a warm croissant. Served with golden Brunch potatoes.
Fresh tortilla chips smothered with homemade tomatillo salsa and queso fresco. Topped with two eggs, any style, and jalapeño crema. Sub red sauce upon request. You can add carnitas pork.
Acai Power Bowl
Acai pureed with Greek yogurt, fresh banana, strawberry and blueberry, served chilled and topped with granola and assorted fresh fruit.
Two English muffin sliders with fresh, cage-free, scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese and choice of bacon, ham, carnitas, house sausage or Canadian bacon. Served with golden Brunch potatoes.
Morning After Tacos
Three corn tortillas filled with chorizo or sausage scrambled eggs, queso fresco and salsa verde. Served with a side of jalapeno cream and golden Brunch potatoes.
Brunch’s Back To Bed Morning Sammy
Taking the breakfast Sandwich to a whole new level! House sausage, bacon, Canadian bacon, cheddar cheese, two over easy eggs and bourbon maple sauce served on French toast buns. Served with golden Brunch potatoes and a side of syrup for dipping.
Biscuits & Gravy
Our famous savory sausage & herb gravy smothered over buttermilk biscuits.
Layers of crunchy homemade granola, fresh fruit and fat free vanilla yogurt.
All benedicts are served with golden Brunch potatoes. You can sub other fruits.
Classic Eggs Benny
Grilled Canadian bacon on an English muffin with traditional hollandaise, and two poached eggs.
Grilled avocado, sautéed kale, roasted tomatoes and mushrooms with cilantro-lime hollandaise and two poached eggs. You can add Norwegian smoked salmon.
Choice of house chorizo or roasted carnitas pork with roasted red peppers and tomatoes topped with chipotle hollandaise, and two poached eggs.
Try one of our signature combinations! All topped with cage-free, local eggs with choice of toast or English muffin. Substitute tofu for eggs on any skillet. You can substitute roasted butternut squash for potatoes.
Bacon, tender fried chicken, jalapenos, caramelized onions, sausage gravy and melted cheddar cheese over golden Brunch potatoes.

Three slices of thick cut, hearty, Challah bread soaked in our homemade custard batter and grilled to perfection. Drizzled with citrus creme anglaise and served with maple syrup.
Banana Split French Toast
Battered banana bread, Rumchata bananas foster sauce, vanilla ice cream and rich chocolate sauce sprinkled with fresh strawberries and chopped toasted peanuts.

Crisp chopped kale, mixed greens, bell peppers, carrots, broccoli, tomato and red onion tossed with fresh avocado chunks, feta cheese and edamame in a homemade tamari ginger vinaigrette. You can also add grilled chicken.
Steak & Arugula
Mixed greens, arugula, grilled hanger steak, roasted tomatoes, red wine caramelized onion, bleu cheese, crispy onion strings and a balsamic vinaigrette.
Romaine, grilled chicken, red cabbage, edamame, carrot, bell peppers, toasted peanuts, tomato and crispy wonton strips tossed in tamari vinaigrette.
Homemade Tomato Bisque Cup
Creamy and delicious, topped with goat cheese and roasted tomatoes.
Pancho’s Beef & Black Bean Chili
Ground beef, tomato and beans with fresh minced jalapenos, melted cheddar, scallions and sour cream.
Soup Du Jour Cup or Bowl
It’s the soup of the day, homemade!
All burgers served with lettuce, tomatoes and pickle and a choice of French fries, house potato chips, sautéed kale, or cucumber tomato salad.
Black & Bleu Burger
Bacon, bleu cheese and Buffalo sauce on a toasted pretzel roll.
Melted cheddar, bacon marmalade and a fried egg on a toasted pretzel roll.
Half pound burger grilled to order and served on a toasted pretzel roll with your choice of cheese.
All sandwiches served with a side of French fries, house potato chips, sautéed kale or tomato cucumber salad.
Beer Can Chicken Sand
Lager marinated chicken breast, caramelized onions, lettuce, cheddar, avocado, bacon and honey hot sauce mayo on a toasted Tuscan roll.
The Original Soup & Sandwich
A cup of our creamy tomato bisque with a mozzarella and cheddar grilled cheese sandwich on white or multigrain wheat. Crusts removed by request only.
Original Fried Chicken Sandwich
Hand breaded chicken breast served on a pretzel bun with sliced tomato, shaved lettuce and mayo. You can also do Buffalo style.
Two English muffin sliders with bacon, shaved lettuce, tomato and mayo.
Layers of turkey, ham, bacon, cheddar and pepper jack cheeses stacked on toasted multigrain bread with lettuce, tomato and mayo. Served with honey mustard dipping sauce.
Shrimp Banh Mi
Lightly breaded and fried shrimp served on a French roll with pickled red onion, cucumber, carrot and a Sriracha aioli.
Chicken Salad Sandwich
Our original recipe chicken salad with all natural tea braised chicken breast, mayo and cranberries. Served with lettuce and tomato on toasted whole grain wheat bread.
Turkey Mozzarella Panini
Thin sliced turkey with a house made bacon jam, mozzarella, sliced tomato and arugula served with a garlic aioli on toasted sourdough.
A spinach tortilla wrapped around steamed rice, black beans, queso fresco, charred tomato salsa and choice of chorizo, grilled chicken or carnitas pork and grilled.
Try it with steak, or smother it with red or green salsa and extra queso (served with tortilla chips).
Baked Mac & Cheese
Cavatappi noodles tossed in a creamy cheddar sauce and baked golden brown. You can add turkey chili or add grilled or fried chicken.
Three soft yellow corn tortillas filled with your choice of grilled chicken or carnitas pork, tomatillo salsa, avocado, queso fresco and fresh cilantro. Served with a side of tortilla chips and charred tomato salsa.
Steak & Frites
Crispy seasoned fries, marinated hanger steak grilled to order and topped with herbed Worcestershire butter.
