How to Cook Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs in Air Fryer?

Step 1: Prepare the ingredients and marinate the chicken.

Gather your boneless, skinless chicken thighs and the cilantro lime marinade ingredients.

Use a fork to pierce the chicken to maximize flavor.

Then, combine chopped cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, minced garlic, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a mixing bowl. 

Next, marinate the chicken thighs for at least 30 minutes or up to 24 hours for the best results.

Step 2: Preheat your air fryer to 400ºF (204ºC).

🚨 Important: Reduce the cooking temperature to 380°F (193°C) if you’re using a 4-quart air fryer or smaller. They are hotter due to the heating element being closer to the food.

Transfer the boneless chicken thighs into the air fryer and arrange them in a single layer. Air fry at 400ºF (204ºC) for 12 – 15 minutes. Flip the chicken halfway and continue cooking until the internal temperature reaches 165ºF (74ºC).

Luckily, even if chicken thighs reach past 165ºF (74ºC), it won’t be rubbery, unlike air fryer boneless chicken breast. In short, you can rest easy with this recipe.

Remember that cooking time and temperature may vary depending on your air fryer model, the number of servings you’re preparing, and the thickness of the chicken thighs. For optimal results, begin with the lower end of the suggested cooking time.
