How to Cook Pizza Bagels in the Air Fryer?
It takes less than 10 minutes to turn a fluffy bagel into pizza deliciousness! It doesn’t get quicker or easier than this recipe.
1. Preheat the air fryer to 400ºF (204ºC).
If your air fryer doesn’t have a preheating option, you can set the temperature to 400ºF (204ºC) and then let it cook for 5 minutes without food.
You may also skip this step by adding 1-2 minutes to your cooking time or until you achieve your desired finish.
2. Prepare the pizza toppings.
Prep the bell peppers: remove their stems, seeds and membranes and then dice them. Prepare the ham by dicing it as well.
Have the pizza sauce, shredded cheese and Italian seasoning blend nearby. Cut the bagels if they’re not already cut.
3. Put together the bagel pizza.
Assemble each bagel by topping the cut side with sauce, cheese, Italian seasoning, diced peppers and then ham.
4. Air fry pizza bagels for 4-5 minutes.
When the air fryer is preheated, add the bagels in a single layer and air fry until the cheese is golden and bubbling, about 4-5 minutes.
I used a 6-quart air fryer to test this recipe. Cooking time and temperature may vary depending on your air fryer and the number of servings you are making. For optimal results, begin with the lower end of the suggested cooking time.
5. Serve your air fried pizza bagels. Enjoy!
When the bagels are toasted and the cheese is melted, carefully transfer the pizza bagels to a plate. Allow to cool for 1-2 minutes and then enjoy!
Don’t forget the classic pizza accompaniments for your bagels! Crushed red pepper flakes, granulated garlic, dried oregano, and grated cheese make any already-delicious pizza bagel that much more fantastic!
Frozen Pizza Bagels
For frozen pizza bagels, simply add 2 minutes to your overall cooking time. Instead of toasting for just 4-5 minutes, go for 5-7 minutes. Air fry until the cheese has bubbled up and the toppings are slightly browned.
